Young worker safety is an ongiong problem in Nova Scotia. In 2008, 29 Nova Scotians died at work, including a 20-year-old who drowned and a 22-year-old who died in a workplace explosion. Almost 900 young people were seriously injured to the point they needed time off to recover, and more than 4,500 workers younger than 25 reported workplace injuries. * We have provided a few links below to provide younger workers with some information on safety, check back often.
